A Festival Shimmering With Theatre and Lights !
ABOUT
RIVERS OF LIGHT
Check out Rivers of Light 2017 highlights !
Rivers of Light (Rivières de Lumières) is a 5-day festival in Sherbrooke, that takes the form of Lantern Workshops, a Lantern Parade, a Night Market and a Promenade Theatre show.
Rivers of Light is inspired by the magic of lanterns and the stories of Sherbrooke’s inhabitants. The festival is anchored in the poetic encounter that occurs between the walk taking place in the streets, levitated by dance and music and unusual encounters, and the promenade theatre performance, created in the heart of a park and influenced by tradition, location and characters.
This unique cultural experience, deeply rooted in a strong local identity, was created by the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes in collaboration with LaboKracBoom and the Maison des Arts de la Parole.
We invite you to come and create a lantern, parade through the streets of Sherbrooke and follow the adventures of Foumar, Doltra and Ali throughout the festival!
Wishing you a wonderful festival!
