Angèle Séguin

Angèle Séguin is a playwright, artistic director and founder of the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes in Sherbrooke. She is also vice-president of the Conseil de la culture de l'Estrie. She graduated in journalism and theatre from the University of Sherbrooke. She has written and staged around 30 artistic creations. She is currently leading an international co-production with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Simon Durocher-Gosselin

Simon Durocher-Gosselin is a founding member and president of the Labokracboom, a circus company. He recently created their newest production, Chute Libre and participated in the creation of Omaterra in Sherbrooke. Having worked for an array of companies, Simon is an accomplished circus and street artist, specializing in stilts, dance and fire. 

Bruno Gagnon

Street artist, circus artist, dancer, Bruno is a multifaceted performer who has participated in a number of great festivals in Canada, United States, Mexico, Brazil and Europe. He cofounded Lézardom and LabokracBoom in 2005-2006 before specializing in contemporary dance at the University of Quebec in Montreal and Concordia University (with distinction).

A graduate of the Collegial of Séminaire de Sherbrooke theatre course, Diego performed in several plays, such as "La Déprime" and "L'homme de la valise" in which he was also the director.

A Sherbrooke-native and an art therapist by training, Anne-Catherine is immersed in artistic expression and recognizes the importance of cultivating everyone's creative potential. If she firmly believes that every human being is a creator, she also recognizes the power that comes from creating together in a community and the healing effect that it has. Rivières de Lumières offers her the privilege to meet people and share these precious moments of connections, pleasure, sharing and inspiration, which she is very grateful for.

Christine Pageault

Christine Pageault has been working in the Eastern Townships for 10 years as a storyteller for adults and children. She has also developed expertise as a textile artist, costume designer, textile paintings and puppets. In 2017, she created the Escouade du Coeur, a social movement aimed at organizing collective artistic actions in her community. It chooses to place human interaction at the heart of the community using the arts.

No, it is rather the strong and deep drumming sounds of the Brazilian Percussion Collective "Tiguidou Braziou" approaching the neighboring street! This group made up of Sherbrooke citizens, open to everyone, invites you to a trip. Follow the beat and discover the rhythms of Pernambuco, a state of northeastern Brazil: maracatu, coco, ciranda, samba-reggae .. This is the opportunity to dance on the street, enjoy!

Robert Daignault

Robert Daignault is a well-known multi-instrumentalist on the local scene, known for his African blues and percussion shows. He will surely charm you and surprise you with his handpans, a melodic percussion with a bewitching sound. No music without joy, no joy without music.

Guillaume Lirette Gélinas

Guillaume Lirette Gélinas is an actor, singer and director from the Eastern Townships. He is currently preparing an honour thesis at Bishop's University on the work of the Schola Wegaity, a Polish mediaeval theatre group. His interests and artistic abilities range from Corsican and Sardinian songs, to ancient and contemporary music.

Julie Duguay

Acadian artist Julie Duguay, graduated from The School of Toronto Dance Theatre in 2004. She has been an interpreter for the dance company Sursaut in productions that have toured across Canada. As a choreographer, Julie is the recipient of two Prix Éloizes in Acadie and a recipient of several scholarships from both New Brunswick and Canada Arts Councils. She participated in the creation and performance of Cirque du Soleil's Invisible Ways in Quebec City in 2009 as a stilt and dancer. She is a founding member of Circus Stella's circus arts organization in Acadia, where she was the artistic director of the Dieppe Circus Festival from 2012 to 2016. Julie is also the director of her own company founded in 2012, Co Julie Danse, a contemporary dance development organization in Acadia. Co Julie Danse has been developing a co-production with Circus Stella for the creation and distribution of Les Robes de Sainte-Anne since 2014.

Jacob Dubé

Originally from Rivière-du-Loup, Jacob Dubé is currently studying at the Collègial du Séminaire de Sherbrooke as part of the Arts, Letters and Communication - Theatre Profile program. He has accumulated experience in this field for ten years now, and has been a stand-up comic for over five years. He loves theatre for these precious and rewarding moments on stage with his audience. Jacob Dubé also loves drawing, comics as well as writing, among others. This is his first participation in a Théâtre des Petites Lanternes project.

Degré Zéro is a group of Sherbrooke athletes and stuntmen practicing Parkour, Martial Arts, Acrobatics and Circus Arts. They work as directors, choreographers and stuntmen for cinema in the Sherbrooke area.

Cyril Assathiany is the holder of a bachelor in theatre from the École Supérieur de Théâtre of the University of Quebec in Montreal. He has performed in several public performances, most notable with the Théâtre de la Dame de Coeur and the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes. He is a co-founder of Labokracboom, a circus  company based in Sherbrooke.

François Bienvenue graduated from the University of Sherbrooke and is an actor and stage director with more than 25 performances to his credit. He has led a number of theatre workshops. 

Marie Lupien-Durocher

Marie loves stories! From myths to poetic inventions, the storyteller allows the public to delve into her imagination, where stories become reality. Since 2001, she has been performing in front of all age categories, at times accompanied by her trusted friend, the harp. In parallel, she works as the director of the Maison des arts de la parole, an organism dedicated to the spoken word in the Eastern Townships.

Kristelle is an artistic director specialized in outdoor creations in situ. She is known for her dynamism, her innovative projects and her mix of artistic forms. She is also the managing director of the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes and leads the education and outreach section of their work. 

Simon Roy

Since 2014, Simon Roy has held the position of technical director at the Centre des arts de la scène Jean-Besré. Simon Roy has also collaborated with a number of  large events such as the Festival de Jazz de Montréal and the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie. He has been a sound designer for a variety of videos and corporate events.

Maya has been collaborating with the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes for three years. She has conducted numerous workshops in a variety of contexts. A graduate of Visual Arts Education at Bishop University, she has experience in managing groups and artistic projects. Maya is passionate about art and music and loves participating in collective projects where everyone's efforts are put together to create a remarkable work. During her university career, she created and hosted numerous artistic workshops for members of the Sherbrooke community. From clay sculpture to abstract painting, she leads workshops in a variety of mediums. In her personal time, Maya creates oil paintings, watercolor and mosaics.

Ze Radcliffe Fanfare

Ze Radcliffe Fanfare is a Sherbrooke band that draws on popular folklore from around the globe. It aims to transfer the contagious pleasure of the particular sounds of this traditional music from Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Mexico and elsewhere. 12 musicians who are using their singing voice, trumpets, trombones, accordion, clarinet, banjo, violin, subaphone, euphonium and percussion to get the party started! 

Sankofa

A cultural organization that has been involved in the community for over 20 years, Sankofa, based in the downtown area of Sherbrooke, is specialized in the dissemination and promotion of dances and percussions from different parts of the world. The structure of the organization has two distinct components: Sankofa Dance Company Inc. and Sankofa Workshops. It is through the rhythms and movements of different African traditions that the Sankofa team expresses itself! The word "sankofa", is of African origin and  means "go and seek information at the Source". Whether it is seeking information in its place of origin or within itself, the essence of Sankofa lies in a quest for understanding that passes through what is felt rather than what is thought. The body becomes our tool to gain knowledge!

After several years of circus practice and various art projects, we were able to develop a strong and effervescent friendship, an important pillar to our creativity. We are happy to concoct shows where sensuality is fused with euphoria. Long live the circus!

Shelley Donaldson

Shelley Donaldson is currently a student in Arts, Letters and Communication - Theatre profile at the Séminaire in Sherbrooke. Shelley Donaldson is a passionate performer. In addition to being interested in theatre, she has skills in several other artistic fields such as dance and music. It is with pleasure that she collaborates for the first time with the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes as part of Rivières de Lumières.

Coralie Dansereau

Coralie Dansereau is interested in theatre because it allows her to escape into an imaginary world that allows her to find a link between imaginary and reality. Theatre enables her take advantage of her creativity. In addition to acting, she loves to imagine costumes and sets, write and stage short sketches and plan events from beginning to end. She has several extracurricular theatre experiences at the Val-de-Grace School in Eastmand, but especially due to the Collège Servite of Ayer's Cliff, where she discovered her passion for the performing arts. She also has a strong interest in piano and plays virtuoso scores while spending her free time composing her own musical arrangements of pop music that inspires her. The Déambulatoire is her first work with the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes.

Currently a student in theatre at the Séminaire de Sherbrooke , Audrey-Maude has been developing her acting experience since the age of 15 through the Théâtre du Double Signe's amateur workshops. Passionate and intrigued, she shows openness, curiosity and perseverance in each of her performances. She loves theatre because it is what has made her come out of her shell and made her grow. This is in her first participation with the Théâtre des Petites Lanternes, much to her delight.
